North Texas Professional Chapter of Engineers without Borders-USA holds its meetings at The University of Texas at Arlington and at Southern Methodist University during the school year. The meetings held at SMU are hosted by the SMU student chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA.
During the summer holiday months Chapter meetings are hosted by engineering firms in the metroplex.

February 7, 2008
Meeting Held at the University of Texas at Arlington
 
 
March 6, 2008
This meeting was canceled due to inclement weather.  The topic of discussion for the meeting was LEED and Green Building Design.  The guest speaker is now scheduled to speak at the April chapter meeting.  
 
 
April 3, 2008
This meeting will be held at Southern Methodist University in the Huitt Zollar Pavilion in the Embry Building Map.  Parking will be available at the Airline Road parking garage after 6:00. The speaker will be Rachael Green, board member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) North Texas Chapter and Director of Sustainable Services at Komatsu Architecture.  The topic of discussion will be LEED. 
 
 
   May 1, 2008       
This month our speaker will be Lisa Massey, who works with the organization, Long Way Home, Inc., a grassroots non-profit organization working in Guatemala to develop sustainable solutions to critical engineering problems.  The organization specifically focuses on empowering youth.  Lisa will speak about potential projects for Engineers Without Borders in Guatemala.
 
June 5, 2008      
Julie Jones will speak about slow sand filtration.  The Chapter meeting will be held at the offices of Kleinfelder, who has graciously offered to host our June meeting.

July 10, 2008

 August 7, 2008      
This meeting will be located at the CH2M offices in Dallas.  Mike Bastian, with CH2M Hill will speak about the history of collaboration between CH2M Hill and Engineers Without Borders. 
 
 
September 4, 2008      
The September meeting will take place at SMU.  The Director of CUPS will speak about the organization and collaboration with the SMU student chapter of EWB.  
 
 
October 2, 2008      
The October meeting will take place at UTA.  Speaker To Be Announced. 
 
 
November 6, 2008      
The September meeting will take place at SMU. Speaker To Be Announced. 
 
 
December, 2008      
Chapter Fundraiser and Holiday Party.
