Text Box:   News   Second Quarter Newsletter The North Texas Chapter’s newsletter for the second quarter has been issued.  View a copy here.  To receive our newsletter please contact us.  July 29-August 6, 2008 The North Texas Chapter is planning a trip to Honduras to assist the Fort Worth Mission Council in the implementation of repair and reconstruction projects for a trade school. The project will include the construction of composting toilets, improvement of drainage around the school, assessment of the structural integrity of the school, and an assessment of the school’s electrical system.  Please contact us if you are interested in participating. Structural, civil and electrical engineers who speak Spanish are strongly encouraged to participate. July 2008 North Texas Chapter member Frank Griffin will give a presentation on the chapter’s current future projects to the Dallas Branch of ASCE.     News Archives

Text Box:   The North Texas professional chapter of Engineers without Borders-USA is a group of engineers and non-engineers dedicated to helping build a better world, one community at time.  We focus on sustainable engineering projects in developing countries.  Our goal is to work with the recipient communities to address their self-identified needs.  Our secondary mission is to 'develop a better engineer, one project at a time.'  This mission applies to our own work and to the work that we do with the engineering students at the University of Texas - Arlington.   If you would like to work with us on a project, or to help mentor the next- generation of philanthropic engineers, please drop us a line or attend one of our future meetings.  We look forward to working with you!     Engineers Without Borders™ - USA Engineers Without Borders-USA (EWB-USA) is a non-profit organization established in 2000 to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life.   This partnership involves the implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training responsible engineering professionals and students.  A key goal of EWB is to develop a the next generation of socially-responsible, globally-engaged engineering students.  Learn more about EWB-USA...
