Engineers Without Borders - North Texas Chapter

Engineers Without Borders - USA

Engineers Without Borders - USA (EWB-USA) is a non-profit organization established in 2000 to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life.

This partnership involves the implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training responsible engineering professionals and students.  A key goal of EWB is to develop the next generation of socially responsible, globally engaged engineering students.

Our chapter consists of a group of engineers and non-engineers dedicated to helping build a better world, one community at a time.  We focus on sustainable engineering projects in developing countries.  Our goal is to work with the recipient communities to address their self-identified needs.

Our secondary mission is to “develop a better engineer, one project at a time”.  This mission applies to our own work and to the work that we do with the engineering students at the University of Texas - Arlington and Southern Methodist University.

If you would like to work with us on a project, to help mentor the next generation of philanthropic engineers, please drop us a line or attend one of our future meetings.  We look forward to working with you!
